HOLMDEL, NJ - April 27, 2016 - Monmouth Film Festival, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, that aims to promote two main components among filmmakers: collaboration and networking. The festival welcomes short films, features, documentary and narrative, as well as student showcases along with a compilation of trailers. The festival aims to create an environment for artists to exchange work, ideas, and resources from the minute they meet, intent on lasting throughout their careers. Outstanding elements of the festival will feature local and industry established guests for Q&A sessions, informational panels, as well as workshops for novice and established filmmakers throughout the year. Industry guests, special panels, and workshop information announced throughout the coming months.
The festival will open submissions on May 20th 2016 via FilmFreeway, before holding the festival in early December 2016 at the historic Duncan Smith Theater in Holmdel New Jersey. Submission deadlines and information are available on our website. First annual festival details will be announced at a later date
Local Holmdel, New Jersey resident and award winning filmmaker Nicholas Marchese is the founder and President of the Monmouth Film Festival Inc. He is excited for the opportunity to present a homegrown venture of this scale with local and global outreach possibilities. “In addition to our organized networking plan, we will be recruiting interns at the college and high school level to assist the organization with festival activities and to promote a collaborative effort between those involved in filmmaking and those getting started,” he said.
